What is advice
This website provides general advice only.
MobiSuper only provides factual information and general advice to non-members
MobiSuper also provides personal advice to member's but only takes into consideration investment and insurance options within mobiSuper.
What is Factual Information?
Factual information is objectively ascertainable information whose truth or accuracy cannot be reasonably questioned. Factual information does not involve the expression of an opinion or recommendation about a product and does not take into consideration your personal circumstances.
What is General Advice?
General financial advice is a generic recommendation or opinion that is intended to influence a person in making a decision about a financial product or class of financial products. It is generic because it does not take into account the client’s financial circumstances, needs or objectives. Therefore you need to consider whether any general advice is suitable for you.
What is Personal Advice?
Personal financial advice is a recommendation or opinion that is intended to influence a person in making a decision about a financial product or class of financial products that does take into account the client’s financial circumstances, needs or objectives. Where a financial adviser provides you with personal financial advice, they must usually provide you with a Statement of Advice (SOA). Your adviser will consider the information you have provided him/her, carefully consider your financial goals and provide the SOA in writing that sets out what your adviser is recommending and why they think it’s suitable for you.
Mobisuper generally only takes into consideration the investment and insurance options available within mobiSuper when providing personal advice. If you need personal advice that considers broader issues we will refer you to another financial adviser.
